That looks more like a fox to me! Coyotes aren't known to be in Labrador (yet). Foxes in the province tend to more often be the dark morph (like the one in your photo) rather than the classic "red fox" of fairy tales. They are the same species though - just a different colour morph.

It's still a great sighting! The bear is too :)
