While I was hiding behind my wharf photographing a Merganser fishing, a large Otter surfaced under the wharf, only about 2 metres from my feet. The splash it made was loud and I was shocked. I could see bubbles from it as it swam around the wharf, then across the marina towards the remains of the larger wharf. After it surfaced I took some photos of it as it cruised along the surface. it made one dive in the open water between my marina and the public marina nearby. it came up with a fish in its mouth and proceeded to eat it on the surface. I snapped several photos and a couple show the fish.
