Hello again Ferne.
Apparently there are about 18 in the Tussock Moth family,  yours is listed as
"Rusty Tussock Moth" orgyia antiqua, in the Princeton Guide.

Thanks again Frank  for your help. The poor female moth doesn't have a very exciting.... or lengthy life!
