Looks like an American Goldfinch to me. I saw a few around my feeder in January 2016.

Thank you Suzanne for responding and IDing it. I searched the book and looked at most every small bird. I dsidn't look at the Goldfinch. appreciated!!!!

Yes, I certainly agree. I had a lot of these at my feeders a couple of years ago. In the late spring and summer, the males are a beautiful yellow while the females are a olive type colour.
