these Gurnets must be in the Sculpin family. they are built the same way same shape until they blow up their guts. I don't know if they gulp down air when they are out of the water, they are constantly opening and closing their mouth, or if it is that their air sacs are expanding. it has happened in these. they have horns and other thorns but they are soft, whereas the Sculpin has a very hard bony body and the horns extent out of the sheaths and hard as steel . their stab is very painful.
