Nice shot of a Mayfly, "spinner" or imago stage, Sam.
I'm not at all certain but it may be hexagenia limbata owing to the large size, can be to 35mms, and the two tails, one of the largest in the mayfly family, hatches Jul/Aug., just a guess I.m afraid.

Thanks, Frank for the info. It seemed to be alive, but barely. It was on my step, 150 feet uphill from the pond.
