Found by dipping a net in a ditch full of stagnant water next to a woods trail. The photos where taken while it was swimming under water. About 20 of these were caught with the one dip of the net.

Thanks Thomas. If you do take your son to look for things like this, be sure to remember how small they really are. They look large in the photos, but they are tiny in real life. The mesh in my net is only 0.15mm, so it will catch some really small organisms. This one was 5mm, so it was actually on the 'big' side compared to some.
