It was the only one of its kind. It was feeding among the American Goldfinches at a Niger feeder. It seemed to me at first to be some kind of sparrow until I realized the small patch on his forehead. This small patch as the pictures show is not a vivid red but this is the case with Juvenile Redpolls.
