Possibly a Hawk of some sort. While observing a number of Finches, Juncos in a birch tree they all of a sudden fled from the tree which was odd based on the time I have spent observing them. Shortly after I noticed the bird in question across the stream from the birch tree in which these small birds were feeding. Daylight was lessening but it was not yet fully dark---hence I believe this bird to be some kind of a Hawk.

I believe that may be a Northern Goshawk
