Comments:
Major staging area for whimbrel from mid July to August 15th. Critical habitat is the crow berry patches within 400m of the ocean. These birds then leave for the Caribbean and Argentina (some 6500 miles non stop over the open Atlantic - 6 days and nights flying). Many will fly back along western North America on the way to Yukon/Alaska region.
