Good descriptive term there - this is a White-Throated Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis). It's the one you hear in the woods all the time - some people say the song sounds like "Oh-sweet-Canada-Canada-Canada" (though in the US they say it's "Oh sweet-Peabody-Peabody-Peabody").
