One image is a highly magnified view. The largest spot of lichen in that image is 3 mm across. It is the clump located just to the right of the "B" stamped on the benchmark. There are a couple of other small lichen spots on this metal hydrographic survey marker. My GPS located this marker at 47°41'58.26"N 52°42'15.45"W (47.699517 -52.704292) WGS84 Datum. The government records for this marker show it located at 47°42'00"N 52°42'00"W CD2000 Datum. I don't know how to convert between the two datums, so I just listed the location as the WGS84 one shown by my GPS.
