Sighting Info

Posted on: July 20, 2014 @ 7:43 PM (diff: 2 days)
Comments:
Many of them live in the rocky canyon forming the main ascent of the James Callaghan trail (Gros Morne Mountain). There were at least two similar spiders there. The other was all black. Could be sexual dimorphism or a different species.

How big?

By paulralph on 7/26/2014 8:14:41 AM

The body was about 1 cm long. I think it was larger than the common house spider but not as big as the giant house spider.

I also saw one of these up in Gros Morne Table Lands.
