2ft off ground on and old fallen tree stump . Brook side in a dark trail having a lot of nice green moss all around. Soft to touch, made a squishy dent easily when touched. Leaving yellow (pollen like) on fingers.

Yeah, thinking fungus, more so. Just checked it again today. Getting harder. Turned dark grey on the 2 small spots I did touch yesterday. Weird little thing. Took a pic again today. Curios to see the development?
