What a beautiful bird. Any sign of what it might have died from?

Hi Lessa, This gannet had no signs of trauma that I could see. I wondered as well what might have happened to him. I have since learned that many of them die by breaking their neck while diving for food. This is due to the arrow-straight way they position their body and the force in which they hit the water. I agree-it sure is a beautiful bird.
