Believe it not, but there was no flash on that shot. I was on a friend's property, and the baby squirrel kept turning away from us as I took the shots. I kept gently repeating, 'Come on now, turn this way.' Only when I kept quiet did the squirrel turn enough to allow that shot. BTW, there are a few chipmunks around, but they're more nervous and high-strung than squirrels, so I'm waiting for a better shot before posting. Such an important (and rare) species in Newfoundland deserves a dignified portrait, I'm sure you'll agree.
