this "barn swallow", flew on board my fishing vessel while we were fishing crab on the Grand Banks. It stayed with us for a couple of hours before flying off into the fog.

Sam, this looks like a Barn Swallow of European origin, since it has white underparts - North American Barn Swallows have 'orange' underparts - amazing sighting, amazing record - I am not aware of any records of this form for NL.   ilj
