I found this winged Camponotus herculeanus ant swimming in a puddle. It looked like it was not going to survive so I removed it to dry ground where it walked away. This is a reproductive female. It seems late in the year for these ants to be swarming. Maybe the 25⁰C temperature had an effect on this. Any thoughts?
