Comments:
This bee was about 2.5 cm long. It was a very windy day so I couldn't photograph this bumble bee in situ. The thistles were blowing too much. Instead, my daughter caught it in a net and moved it to a calm area in a clear plastic peanut butter jar. I took these photos on a wooden fish cleaning table in a calm area after I had opened the jar and released the bee. I placed some thistle on the table too to try and keep the bee there.
