Observed sitting on our wharf with a long Sandlance in its beak. It would hit the head of the Sandlance off a stick on the wharf, repeatedly until the fish was dead or stunned to the point it could be easily swallowed. It then ate the fish and sat on the wharf for several minutes before flying away.
