Comments:
this small juvenile Whelk was crawling on an algae covered rock. As i zoomed in to photograph the mollusk, it slipped and fell between the rocks. I picked it up and put it back on the middle of the rock, noticing that part of the shells lip was missing. When i analyzed my photos at home, i could tell that the lip was missing before the fall.
