Comments:
a Loon was fishing the mud bottom off the wharf. After several dives it came up with a flounder across its beak. It would drop and grab the flounder repeatedly in order to align the flounder to try to swallow it. I have seen the Loons catch several Flounder, but this is the first time i Observed a Loon successfully eat a Flounder. All my other observations ended with the flounder being lost or released.
