Photo by Flynnsbeach of Architeuthis dux,or the Atlantic giant squid. This specimen was found and first reported by the late Jimmy Conway of Colliers, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This specimen would later be identifed by scientists as an 18 foot female. Picture taken with Dennis Flynn in image for scale purposes only. Squid was left untouched exactly as found by this photographer. Photo taken on Ghaneys Beach in Colliers, near the Red Rock local landmark, at GPS co-ordinates N 47.28 747 and W 053.11.515 (Approximately 1 foot above sea level) on Sunday, December 05, 2004 at 10:45 PM
