Found in water dipped from a small brook using a plastic jar. Very likely H. cribrarius but could also be H. canadensis or H. apostolicus. For more information, see the article entitled "Haliplidae of Eastern Canada" by Hailey V. Ashbee, Stephen A. Marshall1 and Yves Alarie, published in the Canadian Journal of Arthropod Identification No. 32 (July, 2017). It describes 23 species of Haliplidae known from eastern Canada.
